3D Scanning - Performative Avatars

This week for performative avatars, we 3D scanned ourselves. It was fast and easy, but it took several attempts before getting an acceptable one. Below is the process and experimenting with scanning two people at once as well as purposefully experimenting with distortions of the body as it's scanned.

This reminded me of when I had made a 3D scan of my dad back in 2016 using a DSLR with photogrammetry and an a free Agisoft trial. This process took way longer, but I liked the output better and it has a more realistic element to it that is missing in the ipad scan.
